This was the dodgy dinosaur density calculation that I came up with using some data from the fossil record.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eYes it might be a little dodgy, but no more dodgy than the calculation one evolutionist came up with to obtain a vast number of animals per acre that he supposed must have been living at the time of the Flood:\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\"... there must have been at least 2,100 living animals per acre, ranging from tiny shrews to immense dinosaurs. ...\"\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eIt was a fascinating result and I wondered if I could use the same fossil data in reverse to determine an approximate density of dinosaurs at some specific time in the Mesozoic Era.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eMy study investigated the grazing space required for a large sauropod in the Early Jurassic and determined that it would need about 600 ha.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eUnfortunately, my dodgy dinosaur density calculation suggested that our hungry sauropod would be sharing this space with approximately 1,482,999 other animals, many of which could be as large as itself!\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis density calculation approximated to about 1000 animals per acre through the Karoo.
