This book studies the communication background, motivation, mode and effect of traditional Chinese opera in the twentieth century, places the phenomenon of traditional Chinese opera communication in the macroenvironment of social change in the twentieth century, focuses on the social trend of thought, media industry and social structure in modern China, and explores the four major communication forces of traditional Chinese opera: cultural change, political needs, economic promotion, and folk customs.
