It's the year 2000 and Vanessa Danté is once again without the love of her life, Rex. He's disappeared and nobody knows where he is. For all she knows he might not even be alive.
She already attempted suicide once as a young teen when she couldn't be with him. How will she cope now if she's lost him for good?
Rex and Vanessa are finally free of the rules set by their parents. But it seems outside forces still want to keep them apart.
