A Study","description":"\u003cp\u003eThe United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) predicted significant agricultural losses at the consumer and market levels. The decisions made by organizational leadership and their transportation methods could have a profound effect on product quality from the farm to the market. North American Transportation Companies (NATC) that improperly handle and process horticulture products could affect product value and profits for stakeholders. The purpose of this qualitative case study is to explore the Cold Chain Management (CCM) strategies used by the NATC industry while processing agricultural commodities. Leadership strategies within planning need to ensure that the necessary staff and materials are readily available in accordance with USDA guidelines for transporting produce. The research goal is to determine the decisions of organizational leaders regarding procedures, equipment, and factors that influence agricultural loss. Using a mixed-methods design that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, the study will examine whether NATC follows CCM and USDA guidelines. Using a convergent parallel method, the study will include interviews with participants, conclude the qualitative interview process with two quantitative survey questions, and observe the workspace. The sample consists of logistical managers, produce managers, drivers, loaders, and unloaders. At the end, the data collection will utilize triangulation for analysis.
