Clayton J. Mosher is Associate Professor of Sociology at Washington State University, Vancouver. He is the author of numerous articles in the areas of criminal sentencing, race, crime, criminal justice processing, and drug policies. His book Discrimination and Denial (1998), examines race and criminal issues in Canada. His current work includes a book manuscript on Natives, crime, and criminal justice, and an evaluation of a drug treatment program for women offenders, funded by the National Institute of Justice.
Scott Akins is a recent Ph.D. in sociology from Washington State University. His areas of research interest include criminology and deviance with emphasis in issues of racial segregation and crime; community disadvantage and crime; inequality in law enforcement and the disparate impacts of justice policies on minority populations; racial profiling; substance use; and theoretical criminology.
