Conchita Thornton Marusich has been involved in the film and television industry for over twenty-five years. She has worked in a variety of roles such as coordinating producer, associate producer and writer on shows for PBS, The Discovery Channel and the Home and Garden Channel. While a producer at Disney Educational Productions, Conchita won numerous awards including the CINE Golden Eagle, Gold Apple and Blue Ribbon awards. More recently, she served as coordinating producer on a World War II documentary titled "Heroes of Old Hickory," which was filmed primarily in Europe and honors the soldiers of the 30th Infantry Division. Conchita is also a lover of history and is a proud descendant of the Wolfskill, Lugo, Pedrorena, Juarez and Estudillo families -all prominent early Californio families who lived in Alta California while it was still a part of Mexico. Conchita is an active member of the Old Spanish Trail Association (OSTA) and is the president of the newly formed Descendants and Travelers of the Trail Chapter for OSTA. A graduate of Vassar College, she received her masters degree from Occidental College. Conchita and her husband, Rich, currently reside in Napa, California.
