It is truly a last frontier of unsettled land, hidden waterways, less traveled roadways and communities that are as unique and diverse as the people living in them. Hans has traveled up north for most of his adult life and in the last six years has captured images that are truly representative of Manitoba’s diverse landscape from the 50th to the 59th latitudes.

<?xml:namespace prefix = u3 /><u3:p></u3:p>This culmination of fine art photographs have been chosen to illustrate what many people have never seen, to show the world that we have country remaining that is untouched and more beautiful than one can imagine. The first-time traveler going north of Winnipeg, the capital city of Manitoba lying just a few kilometers south of the 50th latitude, will experience leaving the prairies and entering into topography that changes dramatically as one goes further into the higher latitudes. They will become familiar with the vast variety of flora and fauna, forests, scenic rivers and lakes. They will encounter the sense of wilderness in its most natural form. Above all, they will experience the stillness of the air, the solitude and the clear night sky broadcasting its stars and aurora borealis as far as the eye can see.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
<u3:p></u3:p><u3:p></u3:p>Hans has captured these exact scenes in his images that have never been visualized in print before. The variety of landscape, his brilliantly colored details and well placed compositions provide a wide perspective, filling in the blanks of the awareness of what this province really looks like north of the 50th latitude.<u3:p></u3:p>
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0655/8980/5233/files/1_5ad87984-be4b-4eec-937f-914468ad47af.jpg?v=1762619365
