Ana M. Martnez Alemn, EdD (ARLINGTON, MA), is a professor and associate dean for faculty and academics at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College. She is a coeditor of Critical Approaches to the Study of Higher Education: A Practical Introduction and a coauthor of Technology and Engagement: Making Technology Work for First Generation College Students. Susan B. Marine (PROVINCETOWN, MA) is a professor and vice provost of graduate and continuing education at Merrimack College. She is the author of Stonewall's Legacy: Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, and Transgender Students in Higher Education and a coeditor of Collaborating for Change: Transforming Cultures to End Gender-Based Violence in Higher Education and Critical Praxis in Student Affairs: Social Justice in Action.
"While pulling threads of identity, strategy, and impact across activists' stories, Martnez-Alemn and Marine weave a rich tapestry of the movement to end sexual violence on college campuses. The authors deftly situate the student activists' experiences within the broader contexts of higher education culture and policy, highlighting the influence of the #MeToo movement, Title IX regulations, and COVID-19 on campuses. It is this balancing of the big picture with fine-grained snapshots of specific activists that make this book a valuable resource for anyone who wants to better understand this powerful movement."—Jerusha Conner, Villanova University, author of The New Student Activists: The Rise of Neoactivism on College Campuses

"This book brings to life a contemporary portrait of today's campus sexual violence activists. Throughcareful research and intricate analysis, Martnez-Alemn and Marine convey the motivations and techniques of these social media-savvy activists, who are intersectional in their identities and unyielding in their commitment to addressing sexual violence. The book also provides a call to action to university administrators to consider campus activism as a form of engagement and situate themselves in collaboration with these activists to truly address the issue of sexual violence on campus, which has persisted on campuses for decades despite extensive work to eradicate it. The book is a must-read for activists, administrators, and faculty alike."—Jody Jessup-Anger, Marquette University
