Betty Pratt-Johnson travels throughout the world, under it and over it. She loves to explore — scuba diving, skiing, whitewater kayaking, spelunking, sailing, hang gliding and paragliding — then to write about it. She was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, in 1930 and has lived in British Columbia since 1961. Betty graduated with distinction from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics in 1952. Her accurate, lively treatments of outdoor topics have appeared in a wide range of publications, including Reader's Digest and the New York Times. Betty now lives in Salmon Arm, BC.
