Whatâs your most unusual writing habit?
âI like to write on my phone. It gives me the flexibility to work no matter where I am. I think thereâs a preconceived notion of what writing should look like and really, it should be whatever works best for your creativity and lifestyle. If I had to wait to write until I could sit at a desk in front of a laptop, Iâd never get anything done. My notes app is currently 37 pages long and full of paragraphs and lines that I love with nowhere to put them yet. But I canât share any of it because I donât want to spoil even a single line.â
Where do you most like to write?
âIâm finding it easiest to write at my lake house these days, away from the noise of my house and the chores that I end up doing instead of working. I need a view or a fireplace, something to gaze into while Iâm thinking.â
Who are your favourite writers?
âKennedy Ryan of course, big fan of Jennette McCurdy, Iâll always show up for a Taylor Jenkins Reid and Lauren Kung Jessen book. I recently fell in love with Denise Williams too and have picked up her backlist.â

Tell us about The Night We Met. What can readers who loved Say Youâll Remember Me get excited about?
âSooo many fun cameos from previous characters! Weâre back in places we havenât seen in a while and the Toilet King is back in a big way in this one.â
Friends-to-lovers fans often say itâs the most painful trope because everything feels "almost." Whatâs your favourite way to stretch that tension without snapping the reader in half?
âI love those tiny moments of âwhat if.â The glance across the room or the slight touch that means so much more than it looks like it does. I love friends-to-lovers because the stakes always feel so high. If you cross a line, you might not get the girl, and you might lose the friendship, too.â
Whatâs one detail in The Night We Met that feels small but means everything to you?
âThe friendships in this book. I really enjoy carving out the characters and making the reader understand how they became who they are, and friends are so reflective of that.â
What do you hope readers will gush/laugh about in group chats while reading The Night We Met?
âWoofarine will steal the show, I promise.â
It was just announced that the books in the Part of Your World series are getting adapted. What are you most excited about and is there anything you can tell us about your involvement in these projects?
âIâm excited to meet these characters with my eyes! Theyâve lived in my head, I played their audiobooks in my earsâmy eyes are ready. I want to be as involved as I can be with whatever they decide to do with these stories, but Iâm also excited for the collaboration with the other talented creatives who will bring this to life.â
What are you working on next?

âIâm working on my ninth book right now. Itâs a character from The Night We Met and hopefully someone youâll want to see get their redemption story.â
