This is the second book in a new series that fans love. What can they expect to see more of in Wild Eyes?

Wild Eyes takes you on quite a journey, so get ready to feel all the highs and lows with these two. There’s tension, and spice, and plenty of laughs. You’ll also see more of the friend group, returns of some favourite characters, and teases of characters to come!

Single dads in a rugged lake town—why were you inspired to write this series of stories?

I’m a parent to a young child, so this setup just feels so organic for me right now. Families are so blended now and I feel like this series also touches on all the different ways that someone can be a parent or guardian.

You’ve been reading romance books for a long time. Why is this your genre, or guilty pleasure?

Nothing guilty about it! I think I love living different people’s love stories. Seeing people make decisions that I might not or living through things that I’ve never lived through is always interesting for me. There’s something very universal about falling in love!

What book(s) have you been reading, and loving, recently?

Most recently I’ve read and loved Fan Girl Down by Tessa Bailey as well as Gothikana by RuNyx. I loved them both! Tessa has always been a favourite of mine.

Describe your dream date.

Dinner somewhere with an adventurous menu and unique wine list! Eating out is one of my favourite things to do, especially when I get to try new things.

If you weren’t writing about love, what would you be writing about?

Probably something paranormal! I love a good vampire or demon book.

What book, or author, has inspired you most?

When I was about 12, I read a book called Dancer by Shelley Peterson. It was a young adult fiction centred around a young Canadian equestrian and her very special horse. There was drama and intrigue and even a little bit of romance. I was obsessed with it and I think that book made me realize I could write a book about all those things that I love too.
