A great new TTRPG for the drama

"Great game, gorgeous print quality, excellent rulebook!"

Only running Daggerheart now.

"Fun system. Camping frames my favourite way to run games. And the cards do a great job helping new players."

A Narrative-First Game That Actually Works

"As someone who loves fantasy RPGs but doesn’t always want to dig through dense rulebooks, the Daggerheart Core Book Set surprised me in the best way. It strikes this sweet spot between rich storytelling and simple mechanics, making it feel welcoming for newer players while still giving experienced GMs something fresh to play with. The biggest standout is the Hope vs. Fear dice system. Rolling two d12s that reflect your character’s emotional state adds a whole new layer to the game — failures feel meaningful instead of frustrating, and big successes feel earned. It brings narrative weight without bogging down the flow of play. The physical quality of the set is another win. The books are beautifully illustrated, and the huge spread of cards—ancestries, subclasses, domains, backgrounds—makes character creation feel tactile and fun. Even if you don’t need the cards, they help visualize choices and keep the table organized. What I appreciated most is how player-focused the whole system feels. There’s guidance for GMs that leans into collaboration and creativity rather than strict rules, and the game encourages you to build the world and story together. For groups who love roleplay, this is a huge plus. That said, the flexibility won’t suit everyone. Some mechanics feel a little vague, and players who prefer crunchy, tactical systems might think it’s too open or “vibes-based. ” If your group wants rigid structure, this won’t be that. But if you want a game that champions storytelling, emotion, and character-driven adventures, Daggerheart feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s beautiful, accessible, and full of heart — the kind of system that makes you excited to sit down at the table each week."

If you want something that isn’t D&D

"Probably one of the better TTRPGs of the last few years. New & exciting and very slick."

Perfect if you love telling stories with your friends.

"This game is so fun!! I love that its focus is on narrative storytelling between GM and players and less on mechanics. It’s what I love about TTRPGS. And the cards are beautiful!! Also… lowkey obsessed with how they designed the goblins."

Excellent quality and value

"This core rule book amd card set is beautifully made an illustrated. The set is fairly priced and very good quality. It has everythong you need to play in one book (both for PCs and GMs). The cards are of good quality and the storage container is good quality as well. It also includes 5 campaign frames to get you started playing!"

The Road to Adventure has Never Been so Fun!

"Everyone is going to compare this game to Dungeons & Dragons, so I'm going to be upfront and say that it's for a different type of play. It's a lot of the more streamlined and freeform that D&D and the production value is vastly superior to the books Wizards of the Coast have been publishing as of late for about the same price. Additionally, the SRD and starting adventure online makes the game more accessible. If I have one criticism it's that unless your players are enthusiastic participants willing to work with the game master to further the story, you are going to find yourself somewhat disappointed. I would recommend this game to anyone who has or wants to play tabletop role-playing games."

Great for first time players

"This is one of the most approachable TTRPG’s available. This is your player’s handbook, GM’s guide and monster manual all in one beautifully illustrated book, designed to tell stories with the people at your table. If you’re a veteran D&D player there are somethings that you’ll have to unlearn but a lot of the rules changes have been made with a lot of thought to the overall game play. So let it go grognard and have fun."

Lucky find!

"I feel lucky to have found this TTRPG out in the wild! It was an incredible read and I think it will be a good game to fill the RPG shaped hole in my heart."

Daggerheart gorgeous edition

"The book is gorgeous and the quality of print and case are outstanding. The art is very detailed and elegant and the rules system is very innovative and unique. The cards that come along are beautiful and very handy to remember your characters abilibites. The folks from Critical Role did a great job!"
