This New York Times bestselling novel is a fast-paced fantasy adventure about a Fireblood girl and her quest to bring down a bloodthirsty Frostblood king.
Seventeen-year-old Ruby is a Fireblood who has concealed her powers of heat and flame from the cruel Frostblood ruling class her entire life. But when her mother is killed trying to protect her, and rebel Frostbloods demand her help to overthrow their bloodthirsty king, she agrees to come out of hiding, desperate for revenge.
Despite her unpredictable abilities, Ruby trains with the rebels and the infuriating—yet irresistible—Arcus, who seems to think of her as nothing more than a weapon. But before they can take action, Ruby is captured and forced to compete in the king's tournaments that pit Fireblood prisoners against Frostblood champions. Now she has only one chance to destroy the maniacal ruler who has taken everything from her—and from the icy young man she has come to love.
Vivid and compelling, Frostblood is the first book in an exhilarating series, followed by Fireblood and Nightblood, about a world where flame and ice are mortal enemies ... but together create a power that could change everything.

"Honestly so good. It’s something that made me remember why I love reading YA. If you’re unsure of picking this up, go for it. Pick it up and read it because it’s a quick read with tension, enemies to lovers, powers, etc!"

Good book
"Interesting characters, good story. I had a hard time putting it down."

Missing Depth
"The premise and cover are great, I was so intrigued. There plot moves way too fast, the depth of character development is missing."
— YAreader (2/5)
Okay. . .
"I was initially very excited for this book because of it's familiar plot to Victoria Aveyard's ""Red Queen"". However, that was where the similarities ended. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but this book did not meet them in the slightest. The characters are slightly dull and although the plot twist in the end is shocking enough (if you don't read the clues which pinpoint in that direction) I overall had no interest."

Meh
"This book as some ridiculous insta love that had my eyes rolling. The world was very interesting, and the plot itself was cool, but the writing style and pacing of it all was what really made this book hard to read at times. I will be picking up the second book because it is possible that the author may have improved."

It was a good read
"I would recommend this book to someone who wants to get into more fantasy. It was a good plot and the romance was sweet"
— MaeMae (3/5)
Not bad
"A pretty good start to the series but the ending with the throne was a bit of a let down. I already have the second book and will see where it goes."

Frost Blood
"I like the characters and the plot. A very enjoyable fantasy series"
— Tayler (4/5)
was interesting enough but not captivating
"The general idea of the story about fire vs frost, the adventure, action, and romance was enough for me to continue reading the book but i do however feel quite disappointed that i did not enjoy it as much as i thought i would. For me there just wasn't enough thickening in the mentioned above categories for me that made me dragged into their world. It just wasn't my favourite cup of tea, but it was not a horrible read."
— Tiffany (2/5)
Pretty Good Read
"This book was a really interesting read for me; with a world divided by powers of ice and fire. Filled with action, some adventure and of course, romance, I found the novel to be really appealing. The only reason why I couldn't rate it 5 stars is because the plot got a bit. . . iffy at the ending, in my opinion, but all the characters are very likable and it was great seeing how they changed from the characters they were at the beginning of the story. Also, I love the cover. Very well-designed."
