"this was my first emily henry book and it's not going to be my last! how she wrote about this group of friends is how i feel about my friends now, most of whom i've known for a little over a decade. it was really special to have those feelings be echoed back at me in a way that makes sense, because inside me they just feel like an overwhelming mess. great and warm and beautiful, but overwhelming in its enormity. . now to what i didn't like: the miscommunication trope. gahh!! a lot of the problems could have been resolved had they just TALKED instead of assuming, as is always the case. another thing: how easily wyn gave up on harriet :( you're telling me they were together almost ten years and she blocked his number and he didn't even try to find another way to talk to her? just. . . kept sending texts he knew she wouldn't get 😒😮💨 . i have to believe that love can overcome something as small as that. i have to believe that after almost ten years of loving someone, it would take a lot more than a blocked number to keep someone away. . but all this to say that this one tickled the hopeless romantic in me!!"
