Helpful Field Guide

"This is an excellent resource for identifying mushroom species in Ontario. It is helping to advance my knowledge and add to the list of edible mushrooms that I can confidently identify."

Margaux (5/5)

compact and full of information

"I'm planning to keep the book in my car glow box and use for fungi identification on my hikes and camping trips. I nocked down a star for pictures print, I think it could've been a bit better quality."

Ivan (4/5)

Full colour guidebook

"A good text for beginners like me. I expected it to be more detailed like a birding book but this book lists small entries for many different types of fungi. With more reading of the fungal identifications in the book, I suspect this issue will be moot. Still, it's a bit tricky to pick up and read. But! The efforts will be worth it as this text is chock full of info."

Oliver (4/5)

Good, but not perfect.

"Good book, but wish the pictures were better quality - on some it seems the lighting is off."

Paul (4/5)

More comfortable with my Identifications

"I love foraging but have always been nervous to pick mushrooms that have been unfamiliar to me. This book helps me to feel more sure of my identifications"

Janvo (5/5)

Informative

"Very informative and lots of great photos, can’t wait to take it on my next hike!"

Ashly (5/5)

Perfect start for an outdoorsy person or mushroom lover

"My dad is so excited about this book. He’s been getting back into nature and wants to learn about living off the land and this is a perfect start."
