Get you a man who yearns like Eli

"As a fellow woman in STEM and emotional outsider, I related to Rues social anxiety and constant self doubt in people focused spaces. I love how honest Eli and Rue were from the beginning of the relationship. While they didn’t tell each other everything, I felt the communication between them was a lot better than in many other books. I love Ali Hazelwoods writing and the STEM based plots. Makes my chemistry devoted heart happy"

Recommend if you like romance!

"Ali Hazelwood writes easy to read romance books with a STEM twist. The characters often pop up in the other books which is a great detail. Not in Love is a great continuation for a previously introduced character."

This book deals with the difficulties of fitting in, the struggles family can bring, issues with trust while also celebrating neurodiversity, women in stem, being yourself, and friendship.

"I am a big fan of Ali Hazelwood books, and this slight departure into a spicier version of women in STEM books was one I very much enjoyed. I admit it took a few chapters to fully get engrossed in the characters and story, but once I connected, I read nonstop to the end. Rue is a complicated neuro divergent character whose layers are slowly peeled back until I felt so emotionally connected to her, that I couldn’t help but be totally invested in her story. If you have ever felt like the odd one out, or like you struggle to connect with others, then you will connect with Rue as well. Eli Killgore is such a cinna-dom character. He feels instant lust for Rue who he meets for a hookup via an app, but when they meet again the next day they realize he is the ‘enemy’ part owner of the organization taking over the company she works for. Both Rue and Eli are completely drawn to each other and soon cannot help themselves from being together, despite the work complications. I figured out where the story was going, but didn’t mind at all given how much I loved the characters, and Ali’s effortless writing style. This book deals with the difficulties of fitting in, the struggles family can bring, issues with trust while also celebrating neurodiversity, women in stem, being yourself, and friendship."

Ali Hazelwood is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Love, Theoretically and The Love Hypothesis, as well as a writer of peer-reviewed articles about brain science, in which no one makes out and the ever after is not always happy. Originally from Italy, she lived in Germany and Japan before moving to the US to pursue a PhD in neuroscience. When Ali is not at work, she can be found running, eating cake pops, or watching sci-fi movies with her three feline overlords (and her slightly-less-feline husband).
