Check back into London’s posh Savoy Hotel in the swinging sixties where dark forces and murder are uninvited guests—volume 3 in the cheeky series that is now a French bestseller.Everything at London’s Savoy Hotel appears to be the picture of perfection: two Italian princes are checking in and an amorous English lord is taking photographs on the rooftop. But in the Savoy press office, it’s a different picture entirely. There, Miss Priscilla Tempest is scrambling to avoid a boss who would like to be rid of her, a threatening American gangster, and the rather thrilling star of the Tarzan movies. And it isn’t long before a fascist plot, hatched in an English country estate, arrives to truly ruin her day—and threaten British democracy. In this third instalment in Ron Base and Prudence Emery’s beloved series, reluctant Canadian crime-fighter Priscilla Tempest joins forces with her would-be lover—the ink-stained scribe of Fleet Street, Percy Hoskins—on a danger-filled adventure to untangle a deadly web of conspiracy that could get them both killed.Sassy, suspenseful and always entertaining, Princess of the Savoy will delight readers looking to escape into a world of glamour, danger, treachery and a dead body or two—where there is always time for just one more cocktail, even when democracy itself is at stake.

Princess of the Savoy: A Priscilla Tempest Mystery, Book 3
Perfect title for the book and goes with the theme of the other books in the series
"Such a good third book to the series they all go so seamlessly together"
— Keira (4/5)
We love Priscilla
"Great book. I’ve already read the entire series. Small thing I should add, there is a small mistake in the book. The Duke of Windsor was never called Bertie. It is rather his brother King George’s, who had the nickname Bertie. Excited for Priscilla’s next aventure."

Escape to the easy-going culture of the sixties while solving threats that resonate today
"Beneath the polished and polite exterior of the Savoy Hotel, undercurrents of civil disorder and cruelty get disturbed by the Canadian press office agent, Priscilla"

Tempest
"Great mystery book! The setting is really interesting and fun. Priscilla is great. I like how it features characters based on real people, like famous old Hollywood actors. Going to buy the rest of the series!"

Baby Boomer series
"A nice finish to this trilogy. Fast pace, interesting, exciting to the end. The references to historical, though recent people, make this series less intriguing for younger readers. Definitely one for the boomers! We lived it and know the names in context."
— Jeff (5/5)
Great New Third Book in the Series
"Prudence Emery and Ron Base’s latest novel in their Priscilla Tempest series was released last week. I just finished it and highly recommend it. The setting - London’s Savoy Hotel. The heroine - the young feisty sexy Canadian press officer of the hotel. The period - the height of the Swinging 60s. The other characters - various fictional villains, and lots of real celebs from the era - in this one, American gangster/movie star George Raft, songster Noel Coward, and the disgraced Duke and Duchess of Windsor, who are foiled by Priscilla and Raft in their attempt to turn Britain into a fascist state (based on a little-known but very real attempted coup that I wrote about in my book “Ablaze”. ) Great fun writing."
