Feel good read!

"This book caught my eye one day when I was browsing for a new book. Started off a bit slow but then I was hooked. Loved how the friendship grew with Leon and Tiffy. Light easy read, would highly recommend!"

in love with this story

"this is one of my favorite books I’ve ready lately. Such a beautifully written story with incredible characters with such depth to them. You can’t help but fall in love with the two main characters and their story, of course. But I also found myself loving the other characters too. Can’t get enough of this story ahhhh!!"

Heath28 (5/5)

Perfect!

"This is a cute read but also deep and makes you feel all of the feels!!!"

Amanda (5/5)

Cute & amazing story

"Ok, so this was definitely an ""Instagram made me do it"" buy, and I have absolutely no regrets! Watching the friendship between Leon and Tiffy grow was so fun, and I thought Tiffy's quirky character was hilarious. Surprisingly, this book covered a lot of tough subjects, and I thought it brought another layer to the story. This isn't a long book at all, so it's a perfect backyard read during the summer. I definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for a romance novel, with a few more serious notes sprinkled throughout!"

LOVED THIS BOOK

"I definitely ended up loving this book more then I thought I would, this book was emotional and heart wrenching such as dealing with heavy topics like emotional abuse . . . but at the same time was a very sweet and wholesome book. This is a slow burn romance that will make you unable to put the book down. Not much more I can say with out giving spoilers just go read it."

Three days well spent

"I needed this book during this quarantine. It was lightheartded but had substance. I was expecting a Sleepless in Seattle scenario, and that would have been fine, but this was better. I enjoyed it very much."

Awful.

"I so wanted to love this book. I liked the storyline, I think it could have been well done, but it was awful. I hated the writing in the Leon chapters. I hated how annoying and ""delicate"" Tiffy was. She is everything that is wrong with women. Horrible character. Yes, you want to feel sorry for her with her piece of work ex-boyfriend, but her thought process reminds me of how your brain feels when you have a fever or are so drunk that everything is a blur and feels like a dream. I couldn't finish, it annoyed me to no end. I got close to the end and wanted to throw the book across the room, it was unreadable garbage. I know some people found this book amazing but to me it's what a 17 year old would write thinking she knows about adult life. I wish I hadn't read it."

Team Tiffy & Leon

"It's been a while since I've read a romance novel, but this description grabbed my attention. To be honest at first I thought it might be some sort of creepy thriller book about two people sharing the same bed, but never actually meeting. Totally thought that one of the characters was going to uncover something dark, and disturbing about the other tenant. . . boy was I wrong! This story follows Tiffy, who is on the hunt for a new flat after recently leaving an emotionally abusive long term relationship. Unfortunately she is underpaid and broke and the only flat available in her price range is Leon's flat-share. Since Leon is a nurse on the night shift, the agreement is Tiffy gets the flat from 6pm-9am and Leon 9am-6pm, and they will not cross paths. . . But they have to share the same bed. An unlikely friendship soon forms between Leon & Tiffy, through Post-It notes left all around their flat, and their lives start to intertwine. Such a cute and quirky debut novel, took me about 10 chapters or 30 pages to get hooked on this one. Loved the dual point of views and chapter styles of both characters. Team Tiffy & Leon"

Beth O''Leary worked in children''s publishing before becoming a full time author. The Flatshare is her debut novel. The idea for The Flatshare came to Beth when her doctor boyfriend was doing long night shifts as part of his training and they could go weeks without seeing each other, but she could track his life by how many cups of coffee were left on the counter, by how much he''d eaten and whether the bookmark in his novel had changed locations. It made her wonder - what could you learn about someone if you lived together but never overlapped?
