"Loved seeing female Canadian voices in one of the most popular genres so had to grab this!"

Emma (4/5)

Strong enough plot

"I like the idea of the story. I also like the characters and their relationships with each other initially. However, as the book progressed, those relationships didn’t have the same feel. Throughout the book, I feel like the general plot stayed consistent which I liked"

Dani (3/5)

Not bad

"I didn't love but it wasn't bad. The beginning was really strong and the characters were fun. I found the romance kinda rushed and once they were together it just felt bland. Like the chemistry was gone. I also found the end battle kind of strange where it broke the rules of the world but it was easy enough to pass by. The morality of it was fun too."

Candi L. (4/5)

Wonderful, breath of fresh air!

"I really really enjoyed this! The fantasy element was unique, with new creatures and magic. There’s an element of nature in this too which was very enjoyable - and the story with Cassia and Zeru was just so sweet. I can’t wait to read the other two!"

Heath28 (4/5)

slightly annoying MC

"this book was a good read. I had to skip a little bit because I was getting annoyed with the main character but in all I enjoyed it."

Crystal (4/5)

Forest Kings Boring Daughter

"Mediocre, the world felt flat and the romance had no tension. Probably won’t read the next one."

Adalyn (2/5)

Great story!

"This book got me giggling, I felt like I was back in middle school reading fantasy for days. I love the visual imagery the literature brought to life."
