Reviews

Worth the read just for the ending!

"I really enjoyed this book! There was a lot of hype. I wasn’t sure if it was really my genre but it was fantastic. I appreciate that the author wasn’t afraid to make the characters gritty and unlikable yet her writing was so captivating that you grew attached to them anyway! The ending was brilliant and full circle. Now that I have read this I will for sure be trying another book from her! Worth the read"

7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo- Review

"If you're a fanatic of the """"Golden Era"""" of Hollywood and love a captivating read this is it! I loved all the nods to certain 50/60s Hollywood icons throughout the book and how captivating the character Evelyn Hugo is. Also if you love a good twist this one has a good handful as well!"

Mika (5/5)

Definitely Glamorous

"Wow, this book hit me harder than I expected. It’s beautifully written and full of emotions — fame, love, regrets, all of it. Evelyn is such a fascinating character, and the story felt so real that I forgot it was fiction at times. It’s glamorous, sad, and powerful all at once. Definitely one I’ll remember for a long time."

Great read!

"Great read! There wasn't a dull moment, and it kept me reading!"

Martin (5/5)

great story but i

"great story but i felt like it romanticized infidelity. marriage is a glorified promise, but it's still a commitment. the cavalier way in which this book used marriage to move the plot forward made me uncomfortable."

100x YES! BUY IT!

"Finally gave this a read after so many great reviews. Only regret was waiting so long to start"

Cas D. (5/5)

Reid crafted a fantastic narrative

"I have recently discovered Reid’s books and can’t read through her catalogue fast enough. Evelyn Hugo is a character I loved to hate and is a masterful study in a flawed, likeable, robust character. The historical references are a result of extensive research and Reid made me feel like I was living in the world along with the characters. A great read!"

Tammi C. (5/5)

Lovely book!

"Gosh this was a great read, and so bitter sweet. I go back for a reread to cry or get my romance fix."

Jenny (5/5)

So very bad

"How is this book the huge success that it is???? It is so poorly written, I can’t believe it was even published. The story is told in such a weird, stilted way, it’s impossible to feel connected at all. I stuck with it out of curiosity and need to tell anyone who is thinking about reading it to save themselves and don’t."

Pawnee G. (1/5)

My new favourite author

"I absolutely love this author - such an incredible storyteller. . . I read and loved Atmosphere, so immediately went out to find more by her. . . This did not disappoint! Highly recommend."
