Reviews

Book review

"I loved reading this book is because it really broke stereotypes when it came to self-help books. It was realistic yet contained valuable information and impeccable advice. Most of all it felt like we were in the author’s mind reading his thoughts. I think Mark Manson did a wonderful job with closing the gap between author and reader and most of all this book helped me get through times of loneliness and self doubt by sharing priceless wisdom while still making me laugh here and there."

Contra Psych

"Language aside, it provides powerful counter intuitive insights into one's own motivation. After the earlier chapters' confusion, the last chapter provides clarity."

A Philisophy Self-Help Book that Will Change Your Life

"This is the best Philosophy Self-Help book I have ever read. Mark Manson's book has changed my life by making me think about my life and the conflicts and decisions that arise in my life in a different way and has given me the intellectual tools to overcome any challenges that arise in my life in a better way. This is an extremely well-written and engaging book with incredible stories that Manson tells and experiences that he's had that you won't be able to put down once you start reading it."

Thought Provoking

"I have always enjoyed Mark Manson's writing as I have read his other book ""everything is f***ed, a book about hope"" and his co-written book 'Will' with Will Smith. He always makes you think and question aspects of life you would not normally think about. I enjoy the way his books challenge your views and outlooks."

“The opposite of every other book. Don’t try. Give up. Be wrong. Lower your standards. Stop believing in yourself. Follow the pain. And oh yeah, kill yourself. Each point is profoundly true, useful, and more powerful than the usual positivity. Succinct but surprisingly deep, I read it in one night, and now need to read it again.” - Derek Sivers, Founder of CD Baby and author of Anything You Want: 40 Lessons for a New Kind of Entrepreneur

“An in-your-face guide to living with integrity and finding happiness in sometimes-painful places… This book, full of counterintuitive suggestions that often make great sense, is a pleasure to read and worthy of rereading. A good yardstick by which self-improvement books should be measured.” - Kirkus Reviews
