Reviews

Decent recipe book

"Some good gluten free recipes. I feel the Breakfast and dessert recipes are better than the dinner recipes."

Carly (4/5)

Delicious recipes! A great cookbook!

"A great cookbook! I love how its dairy, gluten and refined sugar free!"

Tara (5/5)

Less photos, more food!

"Did not find this book as good as her other book True Comfort. Plus, I really didnt want a cookbook full of various poses of the author! Maybe stick to the food!"

Busymom (2/5)

Disappointed

"After loving her cookbook True Comfort I decided to get another. I found True Roots very underwhelming. Kristin Cavallari seemed to focus more on pictures of herself than quality recipes."

Busymom (2/5)

Okay Cookbook

"This book looks beautiful, and I have enjoyed making some of the recipes, however, I find there should be more photos of the recipes and less of Kristen, because this is a cookbook. Also some of the recipes are a little bland, or for some recipes it is a bit vague. ex: for the zucchini blondes it says for ingredients ""1 medium zucchini"", whereas I would have liked it to say 1cup zucchini. . ect. because how is someone supposed to know what 1 medium zucchini is as they can vary a lot in size."

Kimb (3/5)

Easy recipes, good results

"I like this book a lot. The recipes are easy to follow and not too finicky. I like the simplicity of the ingredients and how there is no processed sugar."

Dani (5/5)

alright

"the recipes were pretty decent but sometimes the ingredients aren't practical to get"

Simmi (3/5)

Good cookbook

"This cookbook was good but not the absolute best. Some of the recipes were great where others were not. Although it did have great pictures!"

Nicole (3/5)

great recipes!

"This book was a gift from my Mom. We each got one- it had been fun to make the recipes together and/or to share our experiences with the recipes! The recipes are gluten free, reduced sugar and truly easy to make! From Kristin's style, to her words to her take on cooking and how she dedicated the book to her children, is so neat to see! I am SO SO SO glad I received this book!"

Nicole (4/5)

Great!

"This is great! Some of the recipes do have a lot of ingredients though, and some may be things you might not have in your kitchen already. I've substituted a couple of things and it has worked out great!"
