Entertainment Weekly's 27 Female Authors Who Rule Sci-Fi and Fantasy Right Now

Praise for the Villains Series
“V.E. Schwab is one of those authors you just have to read….She is a literary force to be reckoned with, a writer who packs more punch into a single chapter than most do in a whole series. With each new book, Schwab’s already finely honed skills get sharper and fiercer, and Vengeful is no exception.” –Reactor

“An epic collision of super-powered nemeses. The writing and storycraft is Schwab's own superpower as this tale leaps off the page in all its dark...glory.” —Chuck Wendig, author of Blackbirds on Vicious

"Fresh, merciless, and, yes, vicious. Wow." —Mira Grant, New York Times bestselling author of the Newsflesh Trilogy on Vicious

"Reading this book destroyed me physically and emotionally....I would recommend this book to anyone in a heartbeat." -The LA Times on Vicious

Praise for V.E. Schwab
“Unmissable... Nobody can write like V. E. Schwab” - Jodie Picoult on Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil

“Immersive… A time-sweeping, character-juggling, lesbian vampire mystery.” ―The New York Times on Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil

“One of the most propulsive, compulsive and captivating novels in recent memory.”- The Washington Post on The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

Reviews

Worth Every Penny

"I had a feeling I’d like this one but I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much that I flew through it in just 2 evenings. Like a moth to flame, the protagonist’s danger only drew me in closer. The toughest part of my experience with this book is waiting until after Christmas to buy and read the sequel."

This is your sign, pick the book up!

"This is one of my favourite reads of the year !! A twist on the superhero trope, characters who believe they’re doing the right thing no matter the cost. If morally grey characters are your thing, you’ll love this !"

Bella (5/5)

Amazing!!

"Amazing book, amazing pace, the writing style doesn’t get boring at all, the story keeps you HOOKED!"

Emsbabey (5/5)

Great Book

"Really cool book I think it is suited towards younger adults or highschoolers but still very enjoyable! Highly recommend I read this book and bought it for a friend as a bday gift."

Ria S. (4/5)

Fav of 2024

"Read it because my favorite book of 2023 was If We Were Villains and I've been told that this one had the same vibes -kinda- and I LOVED it. The characters, the actions, the plot,. . . would 100% recommend."

AK (5/5)

The last quarter was amazing

"I did not like the stylistic choice of very chapter switching between current day and 10 years ago. It took me out of my immersion and I was comfused at times. However, at the end of the book, the timeline stayed in the present day and it was a thrilling last quarter to read!"

Emily (2/5)

Vicious

"This book was so good! Fast paced, violent and funny. Two sociopathic friends/enemies who rival each other in every way. While this was a Victor/Eli story, I loved Mitch and Sydney too. Looking forward to the next book!"

Maureen (5/5)

Great boom

"I’ve just started reading again and this is one of the first books I’ve picked up. The concept is so interesting and it’s written in a way that always makes me want to do just one more chapter"

Annalisa (5/5)

Great read

"This book keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time, I adore it!"

Brooklyn (5/5)

OK Novel

"Not as good as previous works by this author, but still not bad."
