A must read

"I got this book when it first came out but I kept putting off reading. Finally read it over the holidays. The basic premise of the book is to give you new skills to shift your anxious brain into a relaxed state. From there, there's skills to move you into creativity because while you're in creativity the brain can't move into anxiousness. From there, more new skills to help you create a life where you're living in creativity all the time. It all resonated hard with me. Beck correctly identifies anxiety as the biggest challenge facing humans today. The strategies are backed by science and the exercises are straightforward yet profound. This book needs to become better known because this is something the world really needs."

Excellent, monumental!

"Highly recommend this book, as it is different than all the rest of them out there on this topic. The author has a unique perspective on how to shift away from anxiety. She is insightful and offers so many ah-ha moments"

Soph (5/5)

Witty, relatable, humourous

Interesting points

"This book made some interesting points, though I did not agree with everything. I enjoyed learning how creativity is the opposite of anxiety, and I intend to try implementing that in my life. The points about your ‘anxiety creature’ were interesting and seemed reasonable and simple enough to apply, and similar to things I had previously discovered for myself. I liked the chapters surrounding the author's decision to take a month off to pursue art exclusively, and how that reduced her anxiety. #IndigoEmployee"

—Glennon Doyle, author of Untamed

“In this new book from one of the most celebrated life coaches writing today, anxiety becomes something of a cage that, when acknowledged and replaced, generates curiosity, creativity, and a life lived on purpose. . . . Her turns of phrase make her points as clever as they are clear ... without ever putting cuteness over content. . . . Beck’s metaphors feel tailored to the individual, yet also universal. VERDICT: In this straightforward yet sophisticated work, Beck once again demonstrates why Oprah Winfrey has called her 'one of the smartest women I know.'”
