Reviews

Really great

"Great book. The author is very skilled, although the time jumps were a bit confusing. Could’ve used a bit of an edit."

Kg. m. (4/5)

Loved it!

"Thought it was really good and kept me interested the entire time of reading!!"

Rachel (4/5)

Feminist perspective of violence against females

"Bright Young Women was thrilling like many stories involving serial killers, but it was written with such a welcomed fresh lens. The killer isn't important. The women are important - their strength, intelligence and survival. I couldn't wait to pick it up every day!"

Erin (5/5)

Pleasantly surprised

"I have not read Jessica’s first book but I was very intrigued after the Netflix movie. I am delighted that I made this purchase. Found the point of view to be completely refreshing and nails home the point . Had some trouble with the back and forth time line but that isn’t a complaint . I am usually just a horror reader but the odd time I pick up hyped fiction . And I am so glad I did in this instance . Jessica Knoll is a writer to be watched and hope to read more ."

CParadise (5/5)

Recommended checking it out!

"I enjoyed the way that this book was focussed more on the victims and the impact that was left on the families and friends. It really highlighted the incompetence of the police and also just how this killer wasnt the charismatic person the media made him out to be, he was just a loser who preyed on women who fell hostage to being kind."

Lemon (5/5)

Good, but not Great

"I wasn’t as invested in this story or the characters as I thought I would be. I feel like the ending was rushed, and left a lot of loose ends. Having said that, the chapters about Ruth were well formed and captivating."

Jill A. (3/5)

Book Club Pick!

"Reading this book for book club and indigo made it so easy to locate in store and they had plenty of stock!"

Delaney (5/5)

Great Writing

"The action starts fast — but not at the expense of being able to do understand. The pace keeps up, and it’s easy (and fun) to invest in the characters, and ponder the plot. She is a talented writer with many fun flourishes."

Geoffreyalvin (4/5)

Loved this book

"I like this book a lot. I appreciate how it showed the harm media narratives can cause, turning an incel loser into a bright, charismatic man in the eyes of the public. Rot in hell Ted bundyyyyyy"

Margaret (4/5)

Thrilled read

"Thrilling book! Gives you another prospective of the true events. Great book"

Iryna (5/5)
