A fast-paced, mind-spinning sci-fi thriller!

"On an ordinary day, Jason Dessen finds himself kidnapped, knocked out, and then awake in a different man’s life. People that he’s never met are calling him a friend, he isn’t married, and he is a renowned genius who has achieved the impossible. Forced to figure out which reality is the truth and where he really is, Jason embarks on a journey that no one has done before - but many have sought after. I don’t usually read sci-fi, but I am so glad that I picked this one up! It’s the perfect blend between science fiction and thriller, and kept me intrigued and on my toes the entire time! I thought the premise was brilliant, and it left me with my mind spinning (in a good way!). I would highly recommend reading this book, even if it doesn’t fit within your usual genres. It is a great and thought-provoking read!"

Read this instead of watch the show!

"Pretty easy to read sci-fi, better than the show for sure. Haven't finished it though, we'll see how it ends!"

Shurbobz (4/5)

Failed the Bechdel test.

"The was a book club read for me, outside my usual genre. I do like reading new ideas. The group picked this book apart pretty well. It failed the Bechdel test. There were no two women in the book who even spoke to each other, let alone about something other than a man. Written by a man, about a man who objectifies his wife and son as his reason for living (neither the wife nor son became more than 2 dimensional characters). The only other woman character was his lover from another timeline. The other concepts in the book were interesting, but this is a prime example of the patriarchy hard at work. Women are invisible, irrelevant or both."

Great Science Fiction about our choices, and what's important.

"I really enjoyed the themes of what is important to us, and what might have been if we'd made other choices. A really great science fiction story that explains the premise enough for a casual reader without oversimplifying anything."

Michael (4/5)

Get this book and dont read its synopsis: It is way better that way

"One of the best books you'll ever read as it will test your perception of life decisions and romance"

Choices

"This book was intereating and I kept wanting to read more. It makes you think about all the choices we make."

Morgan (4/5)

Dark Matter

"Thoroughly enjoyed this book. There’s certainly some gaps in the story but if you’re one to watch the show/movie as well as read the book, I feel like the series fills in the blanks in a way that still honors the original content while keeping rather closely to the book"

MacN (5/5)

Relevant title for the subject ‘matter’

"Loved the storyline and constant wonder in what next."
