Reviews

Finding Your Strength at Any Age

"I wasn’t sure about this book for the first few chapters. This was a book club selection and not my usual genre. In the end I was really rooting for the characters and loved the themes around personal growth, learning who you are and how to stand up for yourself at an older age, and what family means. Recommend this as a quick, light read with a happy ending."

A good laugh!

"Death and Other Inconveniences had me giggling right from the start. I was sitting in a hospital waiting room waiting for a CTScan and the obituary on the very first page made me laugh out loud. While I don't think this one captured my attention as much as The Spoon Stealer or A Recipe for a Good Life, I did really enjoy the characters and the animal references. I really enjoy Lesley Crewe's books because she writes of familiar places, language, and themes. :)"

Ms C. (4/5)

Canadian author with engaging voice

"Lesley Crewe is a prolific Canadian author originally from Montreal. She has spent the last several decades living in Cape Breton. She published her first novel when she was fifty! I saw her speak at TIFA where she was charmingly self-effacing and open with her writing method."
