“Written entirely in Iqaluit, Farhang: Book Two achieves something unusual in contemporary poetry. It transforms global movement into stillness. The farther the poems travel geographically, the more inward and isolated they become emotionally. Patrick Woodcock has produced a collection filled with unease, intelligence, and haunting imagery, one that examines what prolonged exposure to violence, memory, travel, and solitude does to the human mind. Rather than offering resolution, the book leaves the reader standing inside its drifting weather systems, listening to ice shift beneath unseen depths.” — The Temz Review

Patrick Woodcock is the author of 10 books of poetry and one collection of short stories. His work has been translated and published in 14 languages. He works for United for Literacy and divides his time between Toronto and Nunavut as the instructor/coordinator for its Nunavut Justice Program, for which he won the Council of the Federation Literacy Award.
