Longtime patrol officer Hal Reiner is accepted into Homicide just at the time that his marital problems worsen. Donald Higgins is a retired aerospace engineer. He worked for Lockheed Aircraft Company for many years, designing electrical power modules and performing electrical load analysis of military aircraft and missiles. Now retired as a 'senior citizen' (plus 65), he spends the majority of his time writing and drawing in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Higgins has four published novels to his credit, from humor to horror. Also three published cartoon books for family and friends (composed of original cartoons, black and white and color images). He attends a monthly writer's club, critiquing member's manuscripts. "With 10 to 12 published authors in the group, we provide written and verbal evaluation of members' stories, including essays." Mr. Higgins has a master's degree in psychology and has taught courses at the high school level Many of his short stories have a psychological theme. He is an advocate of educational reform K to 18 and has tutored both middle and high school students in innovative English and Mathematics studies. Sports interests include tennis and table tennis, bowling and golf. His main thrust is creative writing.
