Aliens intended to enslave humanity, and we somehow beat them back. Our deep-space mission is only just beginning, but at least Earth is safe . . . Right?

After our battle with the Kristang, the United Nations Expeditionary Force let me keep my theater rank. Now I’m officially Col. Joe Bishop, though everyone knows I was barely qualified to be a sergeant to begin with. So why did UNEF trust me again to command our newly stolen alien starship, the Flying Dutchman?

Well, someone had to keep our side of the bargain I made with the ancient AI who helped save us all. A promise to help him contact others of his kind. Not to mention UNEF didn’t expect the ship to ever return. That’s why they thoughtfully outfitted it with nukes for self-destruction. If anything goes wrong, we can erase any evidence that filthy humans were flying around the galaxy on a joyride. I don’t foresee any problems there.

But first, this is my chance on behalf of billions of people to give a middle-finger salute to the Kristang and blow them out of the stars. Even if it’s the last thing I do . . .

This tenth-anniversary edition of the second volume of the furiously funny military sci-fi phenomenon features all-new artwork and a letter from the author.
