Won’t be recommending

"borrowed this book from a friend because I have been seeing it everywhere and it looked like a great read, unfortunately that was not the case. This was pitched as a bloody retelling of The Wizard of box and dystopian it was none of the above. The retelling consisted of a character called Dorothy, the winged monkeys as a gang and people being murdered and their brain and heart were removed and that’s a stretch. There were two timelines and I didn’t care for the miscarriage/ preterm babies plot at all. I found that there were also too many characters to try and keep track of. And too many different stories all happening. I think the cover was the best part of this book. I would not recommend this one unfortunately, and it sucks because the author is also Canadian."
