Reviews

Great Resource

"Just starting to read the book, it’s large, but right from the outset it is apparent that this book is detailed and a lot of care has been put into making it both entertaining, educational, and a fantastic resource. I highly recommend it."

CaptGord (5/5)

Amazing

"Excellent and well built edition of the Icelanders saga, an incredible and important text worth owning a reading."

Marc G. (5/5)

Great collection

"This is a very readable collection of ancient norse epics - a good intro the genre"

Frank (4/5)

Strong Collection

"There are some sagas missing such as Njal's, but the included sagas are great epic stories that provide tremendous insight into the Old Nordic World. I also found this translation to be superior to others that I have read in the past."

Twasi (4/5)

Not ""complete"" but still a great collection

"This collection doesn't have ALL the sagas, but it is a great compilation regardless. Recommended if you're a fan of old epic stories like The Iliad, The Odyssey, The Aeneid, Beowulf, etc."

Jeffrey (5/5)

Missing some key sagas

"Good, but how on earth do you not include Njal's saga or the Islendingabok? Needed those for a paper, luckily found them elsewhere."
