SCATARIE

"I could not put this book down. The people Mary Alice, Hardy and Sam. Everyone on the island I loved them all. Growing up on Scatarie was a joy I could envision everything. The happiness and sadness throughout this book held me transfixed. This is the second book I have read by Lesley Crewe, I look forward to the next but Zi miss the island and families that were part of me for a few days. Thank you Lesley Crewe."

Interesting

"I’m originally from Nova Scotia. This was a must read for me as I had no knowledge of it prior to purchasing. Glad to get it."

EmTe (5/5)

Fascinating!

"A fascinating slice of Nova Scotia history from a great story teller. You can still visit the island today, though it is uninhabited."

Great Novel By Lesley Crewe

"Loved it. Great story. Loved the characters. I need to read more of Lesley Crewe."

Take a trip back in time to rural Nova Scotia living

"An excellent read. The ghost idea made me pause, initially. But, like all of Crewe’s other books, I got sucked deep into the narrative and could not stop reading—staying in bed to finish it rather than stepping out early to explore a city I was visiting. I love the characters in all of Lesley’s books. They feel familiar to me. This book resonated so much with my mother’s stories of childhood in a long resettled Newfoundland outport and the characters almost jump between these two worlds in my mind. I bought a copy for my mom and her sister for Christmas."

resurrection walk Found out I had already read it, enjoyed it the first time ,always like Harry Bosch

"as always Lesley Crewe. keeps you involved right from the start. I enjoyed the story tremendously and am always waiting for the next one ."

Light read

"A great story but definitely less depth than I expected"

Sacarie

"Love this book Lesley always brings her characters to life so you feel you know them so well !"

Was it obvious - or not!

"Brand new author to me. Relateable but far fetched at the same time. A fun read."

The Magic Continues

"I took a little bit to get into this book but then as always, her amazing characters and storytelling draws you in. Crewe is an awesome writer and when you read her stories you picture not only the characters but the scenery too. Love that's she's Canada and writes about Canadian places. I knew nothing about Scatarie Island or its history and now I do. Can't wait for her next book!"
