Loved it

"Our first book of this series. What a gem. I was worried by the lack of illustrations, or to be specific the detail, but turns out that so much can be illustrated with such minimalism. We had a good chuckle with this book."

Mmmm (5/5)

Fun book for kids

"My five year old loves reading this book. Simple enough for them to read, fun illustrations."

Kayla (5/5)

Family Fav!!

"These books are a household fav! My son read them as a young child and now, my daughter. Easy text for young readers to help build their confidence when reading aloud. And of course, super sweet stories of best friends."

SherriLynn (5/5)

Fantastic, Easy & Fun Read!

"This is such a fun book. My daughter 6 year old daughter brought it home from the school library (in Kindergarden) and kept borrowing the same book over the course of the year and still does in grade 1 so we finally purchased one to keep at home. It's an easy & fun read for kids starting to read on their own, the humour is lovely, the illustrations of their facial expressions of the charactors are spot on and much of the other books from their series are just as fantastic!"

Vandna (5/5)

Fun and Expressive

"This story really connects the book to the reader and it is told from a unique perspective. It's fun and expressive, as are all Elephant and Piggie books. Can't go wrong with this one for early readers. The expression makes it great for read-alouds for older kids (6-10), too."

In their latest pairing, Elephant and Piggie are finally ready to get meta. Realizing that their trademark blank background is, in fact, a page, the duo has a blast convincing the reader to say funny things out loud-until Piggie mentions that the book will soon end. Cue Elephant''s existential crisis: "WHEN WILL THE BOOK END!?!" From there on, it''s a cute-but never too heady-play on the physical object that the reader is holding, including a bit where Piggie appears to flip the pages forward to get a sense of how much time they have left. Willems'' satisfying (if self-serving) solution? Read it again!-Booklist
