Reviews

A puzzling and entertaining mystery that is almost impossible to guess

"I very much enjoyed reading this novel. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out the ending of stories, but this one was virtually impossible! Agatha Christie said that this was her most difficult novel to write, and I can absolutely see why. If it weren't for the epilogue where all is explained, I would still be trying to figure it out. If you like classic mysteries, you'll love this book."

Jeff's Review

"Classic mystery novel. Great introduction into the world of Agatha Christie."

Superb crime mystery novel!

"This was my first Agatha Christie and she truly is the queen of crime. I loved the pace of this book, I did not see the big reveal being what it was and I didn’t mind that the language used was dated. Of course it is, it was published in 1939!"

A Very Good Story

"This was the first Agatha Christie I’ve read and it was a winner. Initially, I did have some trouble keeping all the characters stories straight. Her writing style is precise and clear so it’s easy to stay focused on what’s important. The ending was really exciting both in the manner in which it was told and how the events occurred. I found it a perfect length for a weekend while travelling."

Amazing for Classrooms

"Best memories from Grade 9 English class. We role-played the characters and had an interactive board to track the story."
