Bullet Train is an original and propulsive thriller that fizzes with incredible energy through a series of double-crosses and twists. "Fueled by a seductively explosive premise, it's fast, deadly, and loads of fun." (NPR's Fresh Air)
An international bestseller and the basis for the major motion picture starring Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael Shannon, and Benito A. Martínez Ocasio.
Kimura’s young son is in a coma thanks to the Prince, and Kimura has tracked him onto a bullet train heading from Tokyo to Morioka to exact his revenge. But Kimura soon discovers that they are not the only dangerous passengers on board.
Satoshi—the Prince—looks like an innocent schoolboy but is really a stylish and devious assassin. Risk fuels him, as does a good philosophical debate, such as questioning: Is killing really wrong?
Nanao, nicknamed Ladybug, the self-proclaimed “unluckiest assassin in the world,” is put on the bullet train by his boss, a mysterious young woman called Maria, to steal a suitcase full of money and get off at the first stop.
The lethal duo of Tangerine and Lemon are also traveling to Morioka, and the suitcase leads others to show their hands.
Why are they all on the same train, and who will make it off alive?

"I love the book soooooooo much and i only got it because i love the movie"

Bought because the movie was so great!
"Read the book because I absolutely loved the movie. There are many key differences to the movie most notably the ending, of which I prefer the books version. Tangerine and Lemon have their funny connection, Ladybug his misfortune, and the prince their ego and incredible luck. Many twists and starts the book certainly does keep you on a hook to keep reading."
— MATOUTOU (4/5)
Great choice for a summer weekend read ""Bullet Train""
"The storyline was well thought out, a modern mystery/actuion that keeps the pace and delivers. The translation to enlgish was superb as the writing is very fluid and witty. Will read again sometime."
— Nate D. (4/5)
Amazing and came in perfect condition
"Watched the movie then found the book and the book is so amazing."
— Sarah (5/5)
Something was lost in translation
"This 415-page novel was interesting at first but by the time I was halfway through, it became a confusing mess to try to keep straight on characters and plot. I struggled through to the end but it was not an enjoyable read. I am surprised that it has been made into a movie with apparently a lot of Hollywood A-list actors (I do not recall any non-Japanese characters in the book)."
— Cruisinbill (2/5)
Action-packed!
"Great summer cottage or beach read. Action-packed. Violent with likeable characters."

“Zippily translated by Sam Malissa for The Overlook Press, this is one novel that lives up to its title. Fueled by a seductively explosive premise, it's fast, deadly and loads of fun… At once outlandish and virtuoso, Bullet Train is like one of those dazzling balance beam routines that keep you hoping the gymnast will stick the landing.”
