Cute companion to an awesome series!

"The book mainly draws references to current events in the first part of the Magnus Chase series; however, it's suitable for reading at any time (after reading the first book though!) as it was a lovely refresher for when I finished. Doesn't go into way too much detail, leaving things short but still informative and hilariously so. Cute stories/interviews that pop up between characters and creatures are also featured."

A great companion book!

"This is a great companion book for all of the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard fans! It holds a lot of great information on Norse mythology and includes a lot of funny stories!"

Liana (5/5)

Cute

"Cute companion book with funny stories. It helped me a lot with learning about Norse Mythology."

Kristi (4/5)

A Helpful Companion book

"As someone who doesnt know a lot about Norse Mythology, i picked up this companion book to help me and it was a good purchase. It was funny while informational."

Rose (4/5)

Another great companion book

"Typical of the other extra/supplementary books that Riordan has released for Percy Jackson & the Olympians, the Kane Chronicles, and Heroes of Olympus, this companion book acts as a primer for Norse mythology, filtered through Magnus' lens."

Sara (4/5)

Hilarious and helpful at the same time

"As Rick Riordan wrote this, it's pretty obvious that the humour will be on point. However, this book is also extremely useful, as there are nine worlds and a bunch of gods people will be unfamiliar with. The best part, in my opinion, is the pronunciation key in the back. Now, people can talk about the mythological aspects without going ""Huh, how do you say this?"" or saying a bunch of weird sounds in sad attempts. Also, memorizing what everyone does where is hard. This book is certainly useful if you forgot something while reading the Magnus Chase books, as you can always look up what he's talking about in here. Or, you know, you can use context. In case you want something more than a foggy idea, this book will help."
