Praise for Heartless:

#1 New York Times bestseller

“In Heartless, the nonsense that is Wonderland gets a reverential makeover, full of heart and its own idiosyncratic character.” —Gregory Maguire, author of Wicked and After Alice

“What Gregory Maguire did for the Wicked Witch, Meyer does for Lewis Carroll’s Queen of Hearts, tracing her arc from a teen with dreams of owning a bakery into a murderous madwoman.” —People magazine

"If you love rooting for anti-heroes and misunderstood protagonists (calling all Descendants stans!), you'll love reading Heartless."--Girls' Life

“Will make readers grin like the Cheshire Cat.” —Common Sense Media

"Jest and Catherine have a playfully clandestine relationship. . . . Meyer’s worldbuilding is extensive and impressive." —Publishers Weekly

“The author’s best fantasy yet. . . . Meyer has woven all the elements of darkness and light, fate and free will, and love and hatred into an unforgettable story of the evolution of the Red Queen from a young girl who dreamed of true love and freedom to a madwoman best remembered for the phrase 'Off with his head.' If you only read one fractured fairy tale this year, make it Heartless. A must-have title.” —School Library Journal, starred review

Praise for Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles series:

USA Today Bestseller
Publishers Weekly Bestseller

Stellar!

"I bought this book just yesterday, and it immediately captivates you in Cath and Jest's story. Amazing so far, can't wait to buy the author's other books!"

I now understand the title """"heartless"""" because this book ripped mine out

"This is easily one of the best books i've ever read!! Knowing this was the Queen of hearts back story, i knew there was no happy ending but i didnt expect to love jest so much and that made the ending so much more painful!! My heart breaks for cath"

Hailey (5/5)

Heartbreakingly beautiful

"This book was a truly magnificent read with compelling characters that you wanted to root for and an engaging plot. I read it in nearly one sitting and immediately recommended it to all of my friends. If you enjoy fairytale retellings and pastries I would definitely check Heartless out."

Betty (5/5)

It’s a cruel beauty.

"It starts off so whimsically, so full of charm and sweet longing—and then it breaks you. Not in the loud, tragic kind of way, but in that slow, spiraling realization that hope doesn’t always win. That love, no matter how fierce, can be crushed by fate, fear, and the choices we make. Catherine didn't set out to become the Queen of Hearts—she just wanted to be happy. To live, to love, to bake. But the world had other plans… and in the end, the girl who once dreamed in lemon tarts and roses became something cold and sharp, not because she was heartless—but because her heart was taken."

Chloe (4/5)

"I knew it would end sadly but I wasn’t prepared for whatever that was 😢💔."

Heartless

"This book was amazing! The storyline was incredible and is perfect for anyone who is a fan of fairytale fiction. It keeps you hooked from the first line and I couldn't stop reading it until I finished. Extremely well written, everyone needs to read this book."

Hina S. (5/5)

Heartless: A Mad Descent into Wonderland’s Darkest Heart

"Honestly, Marissa Meyers did amazing with this book. I am a huge Alice in Wonderland. I love the nonsensicality of Carroll's book. Seeing this world with much more clarity and character development before Alice in Wonderland even took place was incredible. I have always loved this world, and somehow, Meyer's book just made me love it more. It also most certainly had me in my feels there."
