"This is a review of Dr. Sanjay Gupta's book Keep Sharp: Build a Better Brain at Any Age. Gupta offers insights from top scientists from around the world on how to protect brain function and maintain cognitive health at any age. Gupta offers ideas to keep mentally sharp including movement; purpose, learning and discovery; sleep and relaxation; nutrition; and social connection. He also includes a personalized 12-week program utilizing these ideas. In addition, Gupta talks about brain disease and especially Alzheimer's, and thoughts on how to reduce it, fend it off and help to stay healthy. Plus, he includes a chapter on caregiving for a partner or loved one who is experiencing cognitive decline. I have included many of Gupta's ideas in his 12-week program into my daily routine."
