"Right from its early pages it's clear that Roland Lazenby's biography of Michael Jordan is in full-press mode to be the best volume ever written on perhaps basketball's greatest player.... Lazenby's a born researcher and some serious legwork went into gathering all of the quotes and facts here, which add up to a kind of Jordan-centric encyclopedia."—Colin Fleming, The Boston Globe

From Reluctant Reader to Reading Under The Covers

"I bought this book for a reluctant reader, and he can't put it down. He told me yesterday, ""I never used to read (especially out of school), but I am reading before bed now. I love MJ and reading this gives me motivation to be a better basketball player and student. """

A very thorough account of one of the greatest athletes

"This is an extremely thorough look at the life of Jordan. It took me a little while to get in to this book as the amount of detail seemed to drag on the story as Lazenby recounts game after game of Jordan's high school career. However, this attention to every stage of Jordan's life provides an insightful look at who he was both on and off the court."

good

"a very good and interesting read!"

Mark (5/5)

Great Book!

"Great book on Michael Jordan!"

SIWK (5/5)

Thorough

"While most other books tend to focus on a specific season or specific aspect of MJ's life — Lazenby does a great job of tying up all aspects of his life. It is a very thorough biography that describes his relationships with other people along with this on court heroics."

Michael (5/5)

Great Book!

"Great book! Reminded so many souvenirs!"

Behind the Curtain of one of the Greatest Athletes of All Time

"Lazenby's access to the Jordan family seems unparalleled. The details he gives in this book are in depth and hard hitting. You can feel MJ's competitiveness bouncing off the pages. You go through his ups and, more importantly, his downs. After reading this I felt even more reverence for Michael; you can only realize his greatness not by the rings on this fingers, but the solitary failures he over came to rise to the top of the NBA. Amazing book."
