"If you enjoy a strong plot set in a world of dark and light magic—something truly different from anything you’ve read before—this is the book for you. The main and secondary characters are richly developed and wonderfully distinct from one another, which makes the story even more compelling. The duology (yes, definitely read both 😊) is beautifully written, and the gothic atmosphere is incredibly immersive. This is my favorite duology of 2025. It has everything: a haunting new world, magic, romance, and suspense. I enjoyed every moment of it."

"As soon as I started reading this book, I was immersed in the story and I could not put the book down. It is a unique, dark fantasy story. I am not sure I would call it 'romantasy', as it is less about romance and more about the story itself. It did not bother me in the least, as I was compelled by the story the whole way and there were a couple plot twists I was not expecting. I love the special edition of these books. The stenciled edges are stunning, the foil design on the cover and even the pages themselves have designs on each page. I cannot think of anything negative to say about this book and I am looking forward to reading book two now."
