A good read
"This is not a bad story at all; however, I only gave it three stars because it just wasn't great. I hear they're making a movie out of it. That's exciting because I think this will be a case of the movie being better than the book. I wasn't a fan of the long descriptions of the inside of the Raman spaceship. They were confusing and I never did figure out all the complicated distances and structures. That's also part of why I only gave it three stars. The characters were okay but we never really learn too much about any of them. Because it wasn't as good as I'd hoped it was, I'm not going to bother reading the sequels. This is a good stand alone story so I'll wait for the movie and read something else."
