Reviews

Angel Tree Gift for a Teen

"This set was purchased as an angel tree gift through our local library. I asked store staff for a recommendation for a teen reader that could be enjoyed by a boy or girl. This was their first choice and was seconded by my daughter. I haven’t read it yet but plan to now as well."

Perfect Condition Boxed Set

"The books came in perfect condition, so excited to read!"

Katelynn (5/5)

SO good

"I was enamored by how well-written this book series was. I have never been a fantasy fan, but leigh bardugo has made me one. The characters have such engaging personalitites and I love a good found family trope. Highly recommend."

Beware Netflix “Sticker”

"It’s not obvious from looking at the wrapped set in the store, but when I got home and removed the packaging I found, to my dismay, the dreaded Netflix permanent “sticker” on each book. I know I’m not the only one who cares deeply about this, and I wouldn’t want anyone to be blindsided as I was. The stories themselves are fun YA fantasy which continue in the world set up in the Shadow and Bone trilogy. Rating a 4 for the story but if I was rating just the physical copy it would be lower due to the aforementioned “sticker” which publishers need to STOP doing."

Erica (4/5)

Juliette (5/5)

Great heists

"Love being able to buy the whole series at once. These are great YA fansty books with a heist element. Was a little confusing to get used to their language/ names for things especially since I didn’t read the previous series but still loved it!"

Laura H. (5/5)

Boxed Set is Worth the Price

"While Leigh Bardugo is more famous for the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but I think the Six of Crows is the way to go! I love that this is a boxed set and bought a few to give out as gifts when they were doing a sale on boxed sets at Indigo. It ended up costing just a little over $11 for each book and I think that's a great deal! I wish there had been more boxed sets at the store I was at so I could keep one set for myself."

Naomi (5/5)

Great Series

"I love this just as much as the rest of the shadow bone series. Every character is unique and has great story lines"

Praise for Six of Crows:

"Set in a world that will be familiar to fans of the author, this book can be fully enjoyed without having read any previous title. . . . This is an easy choice for teens who enjoyed The Grisha Trilogy, Diviners, or any of the Shadowhunter books." —VOYA, starred review

"The whirlwind pace, along with some witty banter, burgeoning romance, and high-stakes action, makes this series opener a surefire crowd-pleaser." —Booklist

Six of Crows is a twisty and elegantly crafted masterpiece that thrilled me from the beginning to end.” —New York Times-bestselling author Holly Black

Six of Crows [is] one of those all-too-rare, unputdownable books that keeps your eyes glued to the page and your brain scrambling to figure out what’s going to happen next.” —Michael Dante DiMartino, co-creator of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra

“There's conflict between morality and amorality and an appetite for sometimes grimace-inducing violence that recalls the Game of Thrones series. But for every bloody exchange there are pages of crackling dialogue and sumptuous description. Bardugo dives deep into this world, with full color and sound. If you're not careful, it'll steal all your time.” —The New York Times Book Review

Leigh Bardugo is the #1 New York Times–bestselling author of the Ninth House series and the creator of the Grishaverse, which spans the Shadow and Bone trilogy (now a Netflix series), the Six of Crows duology, the King of Scars duology—and much more.
