Heather’s Review

"What I want to say about Smartphone Nation is simple: read it. And especially if you are a parent. It is an urgent and eye-opening description of the high-stakes battle for our attention—and our children's attention—in the age of the ever-present smartphone. Regehr provides a clear and inspiring game plan for how we can take control of ourphones rather than allowing them to control us.

Smartphone Nation is a clarion call for anyone who has ever used a cellphone, whether you're a parent thinking about your children's screen time or someone simply trying to reclaim focus and intention in a world where highly sophisticated algorithms know exactly how to keep us endlessly scrolling."

This is the handbook for anyone who refuses to sit out the next chapter of progress. You’ll find inspiration, anger, fear, and hope—sometimes all at once.
