How incredibly disappointing

"This novella was advertised as a cute and fun holiday read, so how come the story that awaited me when I eagerly cracked this open was one with kidnapping, sexual assault, humiliation and harassment. But in the end candy canes dot the street and snowflakes fall so it’s all okay. It’s not okay. Why is this even advertised to the ya audience?? All I can say it’s extremely disappointing that this novella is not advertised with the content that is in it, I basically got whiplashed when I read it"
