Great Photography, Awful Design

"Was excited to receive this as a gift. Started off beautifully. The covers and inside covers are wonderful but the design and execution of much of the interior of this book does the photography a disservice. Many of the portraits are 2-page spreads and in the majority of those, the important part of the portrait falls into the fold of the pages. Too often, the subjects are lost or distorted. The ordering of the images within seems unintelligent and on the nose. Pictures with turkeys in them? Side by side…People jumping in the air? Neighbours…Subjects wearing lime green? Back to back. The list goes on. A photography book should be designed with intention to elevate the photography, not detract from it. That being said, there are many images to explore and memories to revisit for SNL fans."
