Only for Sam

"I wanted to get into the SJM-verse, and I came out with a heartbreak. I wasn’t a fan of the FMC, and only Sam would be the one that I carry around."

Ferough Y. (3/5)

Heartbreaking Throne of Glass novella

"The Throne of Glass series may be my all time favourite books, this novella was good though not as good as the rest of the series. It was a nice little look into the backstory of the fmc, and really throws you right into insane heartbreak… definitely worth a read! I personally read it second (right after TOG) and would do that again upon re-reading."

Book L. (4/5)

Reading order: read it FIRST

"I really enjoyed this book and thought it added so much depth to the series. The novellas helped me understand the main character better and made the events of the later books more impactful. A great read, especially before starting the main story."

"Currently reading after reading another of the author's popular series. This book is taking its time to build up but I'm close to the half way point and I'm kind of getting excited about what could be coming. I rated the previous series 5/5 cause it kept my attention and couldn't stop reading at times. This book was rated lower because it doesn't have same level of intrigue. Of course, these are different books but it was the writing in the previous series that I am yet to see here. I do feel like something is coming and some of the questions I had at the start of this book are beginning to get answered and I can see the foreshadowing for future books. I feel like it's about to start building up and I'm getting excited, fingers crossed."

Tyler (3/5)

A captivating book into the complex background of Celaena Sardothien and her heartbreakingly beautiful upbringing

"If you’re thinking about getting into the Throne of Glass series I highly recommend reading this in publication order as the third book. It was a captivating and heart wrenching read."

The Assasins Blade Book review

"The book was really exciting with extravagant scenes and details. I also loved seeing Caleana’s story and all the adventures she had before throne of glass."
