Reviews

4/5 Stars

"The Final Gambit is a strong, high-energy conclusion to The Inheritance Games trilogy. Jennifer Lynn Barnes delivers a thrilling final round of puzzles, twists, and mind-games that keep the tension sharp from start to finish. Avery’s last challenge feels bigger and riskier, and the stakes surrounding the Hawthorne family add an emotional depth that ties the series together nicely. Some reveals land better than others, and a few plot threads wrap up a little too quickly, but the overall ride is incredibly fun and addicting. The blend of mystery, found-family dynamics, and romantic tension hits the sweet spot without overwhelming the plot. A satisfying, clever finale that leaves you grateful for the journey and wishing you could stay in Hawthorne House just a little bit longer."

BEST ONE IN THE SERIES!

"Love the trilogy! This is so good so far. Barnes is a master with the puzzles, twists and games through the books. I loved that in how in this one, everything still connects with one another from the old books. I don’t have much to say without spoiling, so hence why there won’t be much here. This novel of the three is my favourite since it reasonable puzzles that fit with the storyline (instead of just random puzzles for fun), and everything clicks well. There is enough going on in the book, without it being too many different events and I love the vulnerability and answers and more secrets we get in this novel. Awesome job! Recommend if you still want to continue the series, but at least try this one out as it is the best one!"

Girl, whaaaaaat?!

"Letting my 11 year old review this. She was obsessed! (11 year old review) “This book is AMAZING. I read it in like two days and now I don’t know what to do with my life. The Hawthorne brothers are dramatic, mysterious, and basically superheroes with perfect hair. Grayson is my favorite because he’s serious, broody, and probably smells like expensive cologne and sadness (in a good way). The plot is like a rollercoaster AND a chess game at the same time—you’ll gasp, scream, and maybe throw the book once (but gently). In conclusion: this is not just a book. This is a Book full of hotties. ”"
