Geralt is a Witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless hunter. Yet he is no ordinary killer. His sole purpose: to destroy the monsters that plague the world.
But not everything monstrous-looking is evil and not everything fair is good . . . and in every fairy tale there is a grain of truth.

Amazing book!!
"Super awesome introduction into the world of the Witcher. Almost all the stories are recognizable from Netflix series so it’s a great way to get more into the world of the Witcher if you enjoyed the show"
— Tyler (5/5)
Good classic fantasy
"This one’s part of The Witcher series. My husband read it first and insisted I try it—glad I did. It has that old-school fantasy vibe, and while it’s more of a slow burn than what I usually pick up, the storytelling is classic and clever. A solid intro to the series."
— Janele (5/5)
A solid read

Fantastic and Dark
"Easy to read and exciting. Slow at times but overall very engaging."

A fantasy to pass the time.
"I'm already not a big fantasy lover but I was on a kick lately of low fantasy medieval settings after a really good book. I love the game and my friend is a HUGE witcher fan so I decided this had to be good It's. . . . alright. I read it with the reminder it is a translated novel from polish and to not nitpick the word choices. It's a good little world you can easily step into without being bombarded with world lore, you know what I mean. It comes to you through the events and experiences, dribbled to you over time. Geralt is a lot more chatty than in the show and I don't find this a bad thing. It's funny, if anything. Its my official bedside literature I squeeze in a couple pages before bed. Light enough of a read you can casually dip into here and there."
— Rohan (3/5)
A great series for fantasy lovers
"I love the series, both the books and the show! These covers on the paperbacks are also really pretty and I love that all of them have a red spine to look good together on a shelf!"
— Book L. (5/5)
