Beautiful Story

"Not only is this a fun story that my grandchildren simply love, it is also a beautiful reminder to the adults in their lives to slow down and not let the wonders of life pass them by."

Norine (5/5)

Empowering children

"This is a lovely book for children. It empowers them because in the story only children are open enough to realize that the violinist playing for free is worth listening to. The adults are too busy keeping up with their schedules. In addition, this story is loosely based on the true life experience of a world class violinist who actually did play for free to see who would listen, It was he who discovered that children were more ready to listen than the adults who pulled them away. A short bio of the violinist is at the end of the book along with a computer website where children of all ages are able to hear the music."

The R. (5/5)

Music literacy

"Wonderful book capturing a real life story tackling great themes for children."

What might you be missing?

"A great book to remind us to be more aware of our surroundings and be in the moment."

Wake Up Call

"A beautiful story for children and message for adults."

Annie (5/5)

Beautiful!

"Children have such open minds. . . . . this is based on the true story of a violinist who played in a metro station and people did not stop to listen. . . . . this is told from the point of view of a young child passing by, trying to stop and listen. The timeline and information about the violinist was also very interesting to read."

Great book

"I am a music teacher of young children, and this book makes a great addition to my bookshelf."

Truly educational and captivating book

"This book is fantastic! It is truly educational on so many levels - beauty is in simple, everyday things and all around us - we just need to keep our senses and hearts open to it. My 6 years old daughter (who only likes books about princesses) fell in love with this book, how only kids can. She loooved the illustrations in it - the dynamics and movement of it is so original. It also triggered the interest in her to hear Joshua Bell playing, so now every time she hears violin she will ask 'Mom, is that Joshua playing?'. Not only that - she's seen me looking at the Instagram of one of famous tennis players and she immediately noticed one photo ""Hey, he's met Joshua Bell! Look, they are shaking hands here!"" (did I mention book teaches you to keep your eyes open!?)"

Gaga (5/5)

Liked it!

"A nice story based on true events that gives you food for thought."

Angie (4/5)

Great book

"This is a lovely book to read, and the pictures are beautiful. I think it's really more of a book geared towards adults than kids, in that ""moral of the story"" kind of way, which frankly I find a little off-putting, but that doesn't diminish the quality of the book."
